Wigot Gardens Hotel in Kisumu launches Wigot School of Hospitality

Over a long period of time, there has been a gap in the industry whereby students spend much of their time in institutions on oral lessons and little to no time on acquiring the hands-on-skills needed in the field by employers.
It’s from this need and gap by the hoteliers that inspired the directors of Wigot Gardens hotel to come up with WIGOT SCHOOL OF HOSPITALITY that was launched through a colorful ceremony and prayer session on Tuesday, 13th of December 2021.

The target group includes hoteliers who are looking for refresher classes, people who want transition from one department to another in the hospitality industry, housewives who need to get equipped with skills, career women who are passionate about the culinary skills among others.

The Wigot curriculum is convenient and flexible. The institution has so far registered 5 students who are undergoing different courses, the aim is to expand to a fully fledged college in future. Among the courses offered at the moment are Cookery skills, baking and pastry which cost thirty and forty thousand Kenyan shillings respectively.
