Due to public band, the Agricultural and Commercial Society of Zambia has cancelled Congolese rhumba artist Koffi Olomide’ planned shows in Lusaka. Several Zambians took to social media to condemn the violent nature of Le Grand Mepao and demanded for the cancellation of his scheduled concert in the country.
Show Society President, Mr Ben Shoko said following the video that went viral showing Koffi Olominde violently kicking his dancer in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya. The show Society of Zambia has decided to cancel his performances during the 2016 Show.
Earlier today, the Zambia Association of Musicians has condemned Koffi Olomide’s recent violent behaviour in Kenya, against one of his female dancers. Association President Njoya Tembo said the Association is now calling for his contract for the shows scheduled to take place during this year’s Zambia Agriculture Commercial Show to be cancelled.
